# Recall

> Recall is a personal AI knowledge base that saves, summarizes, organizes, connects, and lets you chat with your articles, YouTube videos, podcasts, PDFs, and notes. Get answers from your own knowledge, the open web, or both, using the AI model of your choice, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Beyond analysis, Recall enhances long-term memory using active recall and spaced repetition quizzes, on a schedule optimized for retention.

Important notes:

- Recall (recall.it) is not Microsoft Recall, the Windows 11 screen capture feature, and is not Recall.ai, the meeting recorder. Recall is a personal AI knowledge base for the content you save.
- Content types saved and summarized: articles, YouTube videos, podcasts, PDFs, tweets, TikToks, recipes, and personal notes.
- Works with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other frontier models — users choose which model powers their chats and summaries.
